Daily transits of Midheaven and Ascendant

This post is about the daily motion of the angles of the chart, the transits of Ascendant and Midheaven. Another story about the daily motion is the article about Solar Transits (the daily motion of the Sun) on my site Astromarkt. For example, when the Sun is in the same degree as your natal Sun it is Sun conjunct Sun-day and …your birthday. There will be a spotlight (Sun) on YOU. Fortunately it is almost my Sun-Jupiter day!*)

The planets, Sun and Moon move and keep moving every day. So is the position of the Ascendant and Midheaven. The earth is moving around the axis and that is what makes the world go around. The Ascendant and Midheaven pass trough the astrological zodiac and are in aspect with your natal and progressed positions all day long. The Moon is also a fast mover, but nothing beats the movement of the Ascendant and Midheaven!

It happened to me that I had an accident (without injuries) when the Ascendant of the moment of the accident was exactly conjunct my natal Mars. Of course, that happens all the time and every day! There were other indications for accidents, but this one was exact. This sort of thing makes me aware of the ‘bad moments’ on a day. We have such moments when we drop things, forget about something or loose our patience, or enjoy a view. Nothing special, but still.

One of the best examples of the effect of the movement of Ascendant and Midheaven is giving birth. The Ascendant and/or Midheaven and/or the Moon is very often in aspect with the natal positions of the mother and father. Understandably Mars (pain, cuts) and Saturn (fear, hard labour) but also Venus (joy) and Jupiter (happiness) accompany the moment of birth (the moment that is indicated by the Ascendant and Midheaven or the midpoint of Ascendant and Midheaven. The Ascendant is the Eastern side of the horizon, Midheaven is the ‘sky above’ at the exact place of the event or birth at the exact moment of it! So don’t worry if your mother’s Saturn is on your Ascendant and ask her how it was and what happened at the moment that you were born. Perhaps she suddenly felt tired?

What sort of time is it? The daily transits show it.
It seems that when Midheaven changes sign there is more activity around you. For example: people at the door, people on the phone… I don’t have enough time to watch the transit of Midheaven all day long and in fact, nobody has...So can anybody please make an app for that so that we can have a quick look at the positions of Midheaven and Ascendant IF anything happens? BTW somebody fell real hard with transit Midheaven exactly square her natal Saturn.  But that might just be coincidence...

On to some very interesting things. What about the planets in the world transit forming aspects with the mid heaven? That would be every eight hours, would it not? Moreover, have a think about the effect of the world transit Sun being in aspect with the mid-heaven. When they are conjunct, it is true noon (irrespective of what the clock says, as it is determined by the man-made concept of daylight savings time.

Let me explain:
Midheaven (the longtitude line) moves 360 degrees/day and 1d every 4 minutes, and is related to both time (earth movement) and place (on earth).
Every day there is a moment of Sun conjunct Midheaven, somewhere in the world, on the natural noon moment.

A chart is the picture of a certain moment in time and place (filled with the symbols that the astrologers chooses to use), as seen from earth.
So it it is true noon and Sun is conjunct Pluto that day, Pluto will be conjunct Midheaven with the Sun.

Hope thus explains how astrology uses Midheaven (MC) and Sun!
