August 15, Japan, Julia Child and Mars-Saturn

I tweet and I blog and sometimes I do both to tell you this on a August 15 with Mars conjunct Saturn:

a. JULIA CHILD BORN 100 YEARS AGO
Today it is 100 years ago that Julia Child (the cook) was born. But she wasn't born a cook. She became one later, when it was time to cook, according to her chart. Read about the progressions, about Ceres and about her chart here:

b. MARS CONJUNCT SATURN
Mars-Saturn is very important in the synastry (relationship astrology) of Julie and Julia the cook (you know the movie? Julie blogged about Julia's recipes and Julia didn't like that)

Or read about Mars-Saturn synastry in general: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/01/mars-and-saturn-in-synastry.html

Mars-Saturn is for discipline (and being disciplined). Read about this aspect on my site Astromarkt: http://astromarkt.net/mars-in-aspect-with-saturn.html or read the very recent post about overcoming difficulties with Mars-Saturn: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/07/mars-saturn-and-overcoming-difficulties.html

SURRENDER OF JAPAN IN 1945
c. In 1945 on August 15, the Japanese surrendered. (I don't see a Mars-Saturn theme in the chart of that moment.)
The tightest aspects are:
1. Sun inconjunct Pholus (turning point with a loss involved; this Pholus was also inconjunct the emperor's progressed Sun!)
2. Moon trine Venus (need for peace, peaceful moment).
Interesting besides: in that chart Mercury is 'calling!' (without major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees and that the Emperor spoke to the people in a Japanese variety for the upper class, so that they didn't quite understand what he said.

Here are the charts:
